Werewolf cubs

The middle three are supposed to be newborns in their different forms, everyone else varies.

In my head world werewolves can be born any shape but then can’t alter until they reach a certain weight at about six months (my werewolves keep the same mass in whatever form they are so before that they are simply too small). The placenta plays an important part in pre-birth shifting, holding the extra mass and reacting to the mother’s hormones etc. so it’s possible they can change just after birth (though fairly rare, and often thought to be a sign of a fault). ‘Wolf’ werewolves are born about twice the size of a wolf cub, where ‘human’ werewolves are much smaller then a human baby (~5lb). Half forms are about the same. Since development is different in each form most werewolves prefer to give birth to half forms as they will experience the widest range of abilities, unless it’s not safe to do so (such as living with humans).
